Kill Race Rules

  • ▶ Each school fields 2 players. Both duos are placed in the same custom lobby.
  • ▶ Win condition: The first duo to reach 10 eliminations wins the match. Placement does not factor into the result.
  • ▶ Matches are played as Best of 3 games. The first duo to win 2 games wins the series.
  • ▶ If neither duo reaches 10 kills before the lobby ends (final circle), the duo with more kills at game end wins that game.
  • ▶ If kill counts are tied when the lobby ends, the tiebreaker is total damage dealt.

Custom Lobby Configuration

Mode: Duos
Fill: No fill
Input: Open (PC & controller both legal)
Server: NAE by default; mutual agreement to change
Build Mode: Standard (building enabled)
Lobby Host: Home team (higher seed) creates lobby

Combat & Third-Party Rules

  • ▶ Both duos are in the same public or custom lobby. Other players in the lobby are not NCEO competitors and do not count toward kill totals unless eliminated by an NCEO duo.
  • ▶ Only eliminations count — assists are not credited toward the kill total.
  • ▶ Intentional teaming with the opposing duo (e.g., reviving opponents, not engaging when in range) is prohibited and results in a game forfeit.
  • ▶ Both duos must drop into the same match (verified via lobby screenshot). Separate lobbies are not permitted.

Player Conduct & Verification

  • ▶ Match results must be submitted with a screenshot of the end-game kill feed and total elimination count within 30 minutes.
  • ▶ Both teams must agree on the match result before submission. Disputes go to NCEO staff for review.
  • ▶ Use of external software, aimbots, or any cheat tools results in immediate and permanent disqualification of the school.
  • ▶ All players must compete on accounts linked to their .edu email or verified by NCEO staff.
